Profile of Jabulani Gwala “UGANDAGANDA ONGENASTERINGI” Gwala (Contact Details: 072 890 5893)

Jabulani Gwala, known as U Ganda Ganda Ongenasteringi is a traditional music artist (Maskandi). Gwala was born on the 3 of February 1989 at Emvoti in a Faye village-Kwa Sukulunye Region near Dalton KwaZulu Natal. Lately he relocated to Mpumalanga province Mbombela where he finished his Matric and started his career. He is a single parent with one son.

In 2009 he partnered with another musician and started a group know as Ziyangegugu. In 2015 he decided to become a single artist where he released his first Album in February 2015. It is made up of 12 tracks; all the songs were composed by U Gandaganda. Each track has a speaking message targeting different age groups in the audience. Any situation that he comes across in his life, it could be bad or good, is a source for inspiration to write a song. The Album has touching messages that could change the attitudes of young people towards traditional music.
DANCERS
He recruited youth from rural areas that have the passion of traditional music. They are five, namely: Sibusiso Ngubane Dennis Maseko, Jabulani Masango, Lungisani Phakathi and Mpendulo Msib. UGandaganda has traditional dance groups he is mentoring in his home village in KwaZulu Natal and in Mpunalanga . His dream is to see young people taking pride in their culture and taking it to the people of the world.
