Sibusile Xaba (32) was born in 1984 in Emadadeni, Newcastle, KwaZulu Natal, eventually moving to Pretoria to study at Ochrim School of Music before enrolling in Jazz Studies at the Tshwane University of Technology.

Sibusile’s recent achievements include leading the Continental Arts & Culture Exchange Project – Unlearning in Swaziland, Mozambique, Botswana, Zambia and Tanzania (2016); studying under guitar legend Dr Philip Tabane (2013 to 2016); presenting at Moshito Music Conference with Nono Nkoane September (2015); studying under king of Zulu guitar Madala Kunene and guru Sazi Dlamini (2012 to 2015); presenting at TedX Conference (2015) and touring France with Tumi Mogorosi’s Project Elo (2014).
